After extensively researching work wear, the history of career dress and it’s roots in feminism, I decided to write my own piece on the topic. Work It attempts to not only explain power dressing and its history, but to modernize the art and apply it to issues that affect women today. The essay is designed to be visually dynamic, combining black and white photography, Pantone Rose Quartz spot colour, full colour photography and graphic elements, but organized in a way that utilizes all these styles while remaining consistent and concise. All sources are properly cited at the end of this small 85 page book, which I designed to paint the reader with the clearest possible image of power dressing, and how to do it today.
